1. Kobe Bryant and Lebron James
On Saturday January 25, 2020 Lebron James is poised to pass Kobe Bryant on the NBA all-time scoring list, for 3rd place with only 18 points separating the pair. The kid from Akron, dubbed King James by the NBA community for majority of his career, will do this in his 17th year playing in the NBA. The stars have all aligned in this case as Lebron is about to overtake Kobe Bryant, in his home town of Philadelphia while wearing a lakers jersey, the very team Kobe Bryant played for his whole career.
Lebron James continues to make history even in his 17th year in the league, when the vast majority of players either start to slow down or are ready to retire. With an estimated 3-5 years left in his career there is no telling what record he will break next.
